4 HAIRSTYLES FOR YOU TO SLEIGH THE CHRISTMAS SEASON

4 HAIRSTYLES FOR YOU TO SLEIGH THE CHRISTMAS SEASON

Tis the season to sprinkle a bit of magic on those strands and we’re here to help with 4 Christmas styles by Creative Director, Kieron Fowles, that will make you the star of the season.

Take a moment to unwind and plan your festive look, as we explore timeless classics, playful creations, and top tips to make sure your hair looks flawless all night long.

TOP TIPS TO MAKE YOUR STYLE LAST

Achieving a long-lasting look involves a few key steps, and it all starts with proper preparation!

Tailoring your prep to your desired style begins with considering the length and condition of your hair. Longer or thinner hair may need extra attention to secure your style, and using a specific hot tool can be crucial for achieving the desired finish.

Now, onto the MVPs – the products. Your look's fate lies in the hands of the products you choose; they can truly elevate your style and keep it intact. Here are our top tips and must-have products:

  1. Set the base with a heat protectant – A must-have product to protect your hair from heat damage. Above everything, this should be in your routine!
  2. Build the foundation with a texture spray or styling mousse – This not only adds volume but also provides texture, ensuring better shaping and hold for your curls. This step is especially crucial for those with thinner hair or hair that tends to struggle holding curls.
  3. Select the right styling tool – The key to achieving your desired waves lies in choosing the right tool. A larger barrel for big, loose waves, or a smaller barrel for tighter waves – it depends on the style you’re aiming for.
  4. Brush out your curls with a dressing brush or wide tooth comb – Once you have let your hair cool (a key step to prevent curls from dropping), gently brush or comb out your curls to your preferred style.
  5. Wrap up your style with a shine spray or hairspray – Dressing out your curls may create some frizz, so you’ll want to use these to help smooth out the hair for a sleek finish and a long-lasting hold.

With these steps and products in your arsenal, your fabulous look is not only prepped to perfection, but it will last all night long!

Now let's get to the looks which you can recreate at home, or bring as inspo with you to salon and let our expert stylists work their magic this Christmas.

COOL GIRL LOOSE WAVE

Seen gracing this year's red carpets, loose waves have become a signature style, favoured by celebrities like Margot Robbie, Emily Ratajkowski, and Sadie Sink.

Effortlessly chic, loose waves are your go-to for creating timeless styles that seamlessly transition through every season and occasion. The beauty of this look lies in its versatility – dress it up or down to match the vibe you're aiming for.

We've embraced the charm of big, loose waves this festive season – infusing plenty of texture and shape for an undone, effortless finish. Perfect for dancing the night away at your Christmas party and stealing the spotlight with every twirl.

SLICK BACK HALF UP HALF DOWN

Embraced by icons such as Hailey Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Sydney Sweeney – the half up, half down stands as a timeless classic.

This versatile and effortlessly chic look strikes a perfect balance between the carefree allure of loose, flowing locks and the refined elegance of an updo.

The two layered style offers a range of styling options to choose from – be it a slicked back pony, or a sleek bun for whatever the occasion.

As there is no better time to get glam than at Christmas, we opted for the chic slicked back central part, paired with long loose waves for an elegant finish.

BEACH WAVE

Celebrities such as Gigi Hadid, Margot Robbie, and Blake Lively have showcased stunning variations of beach waves on the red carpet - and we’re here to tell you that beach waves aren’t just reserved for summer days by the shore.

The relaxed, tousled texture brings a hint of casual glamour, making it an ideal choice for Christmas events that range from laid-back family dinners to nights out with friends.

Effortlessly chic and adaptable, this hairstyle will bring a breath of fresh air to your festive ensemble.

SLICK BACK HALF UP HALF DOWN PIGTAILS

Celebrities such as Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, and Gigi Hadid have effortlessly showcased half up, half down pigtails. Fun, flirty, and one of the cutest hairstyles on the style scene.

The charm of this hairstyle also lies in its versatility. Not only does it provide various styling opportunities, but it can be adapted to suit different hair lengths, textures, and personal preferences.

We opted for a polished, slicked back finish paired with voluminous loose curls, to create the perfect balance between playful and elegant.
